Everyone who knows me knows I am on a mission not only to feed our family better, but to get other parents to realize that they can make better choices about the nutrition and well being of their children. Nutritional intervention isn't easy, but it works.

This week it appears to Macaroni and Cheese.
Print this postMy two sons (5 and 7) LOVE mac and cheese (of course), but I also rely heavily on burritos and dumplings. They are great way to stash nutrition.
Print this postProtein-wise, lamb chops or tilapia. Veg-wise, broccoli or asparagus. With a toasted slice of homemade bread made with almond flour (we are mostly SCD!)
Print this postCornmeal crusted tilapia, gluten-free french fries, grapes.
Print this postCorn on the cob if in season.
Both of my kids love steak. Peas, corn, carrots, blueberries, grapes. My son love rice. I have recently made meatballs w/ combo of turkey and beef and they both like them.
Print this postSteak, green beans, and lentil soup
Print this postlikes burgers, but at Jackson Hole only wants to eat cheddar cheese and tortilla chips.
Print this postLikes PB&J, tuna sandwiches. He will eat tuna rolls and pasta (no sauce). Loves bread and will eat anything cheese-filled.
:)
Hands down the favorite is gravy on rice with corn. It can be made from whole ingredients or from jars and cans. Depends on the day. . . .
Print this postMy son, Aari loves chicken marinated with lime, salt and pepper, then, coated with egg yolk and amaranth flour.
Print this postWow--very impressed with those ambitious eaters! My neuro-typical daughter will eat the most exotic foods with glee. My autism-spectrum son is SO picky and has oral sensory issues. It has to crunch. Plus, he is GF/CF/mostly SF. We search for healthy crackers and chips, and spread them with nut butters, tofu spreads, pureed fruits. We put micro-pieces of chicken in the spreads. Luckily he eats scrambled eggs, too.
Print this postMy son is a little odd ball. Give him a plate of fresh grape tomatoes, purple grapes, Tofutti Better Than Sour Cream, a pickle and a corn tortilla and he's in heaven. Our issue is, he won't eat proteins. We are seeing a nutritionist tomorrow to help him with this.
Print this postTacos with meat in a fried soft corn tortilla and artichokes. And she just discovered Chocolate, especially dark chocolate, at 2 years 7 months she is a self proclaimed "chocolaholic".
Print this postHi, first of all thank-you so much for this blog. It is just what I need for some renewed energy and creativity for our gf, df,sf diets.
Print this postI was going to say tortilla pizzas-but that is only for the only gf kids.
My daughter and myself are gf, sf, and df. We like a simple crock pot beef roast with chopped green peppers and onions. Those peppers and onions are so important because without them we don't really enjoy a roast at all!
